Six Spoons launched in Australia!

Heather and Richard went out to Australia for 18 days (Heather is Australian) in the first week of January and although Australia was on holiday then - virtually completely shut down -  Richard got on the ABC radio programme “The Conversation Hour” which is the key mid-morning slot.  It is for celebrities!  There were two other guests,  the Head of the Australian Shrine of Remembrance and the leader of the Jewish community in the State of Victoria.  The subject was WWll and Richard was the ‘meat in the sandwich’ getting the lion’s share of the interview time and was able to give Six Spoons a real plug.

Richard had been desperately working from the UK to get a decent book chain to take the book (not easy with Christmas and the New Year dominating negotiations!).   Now he has secured a deal with ‘Readings Books & Music’... a chain of six shops... and regarded as the best in Melbourne.  And Six Spoons is also on the shelves in the Shrine of Remembrance book shop.   Quite some trip…!

Richard says: “We returned just days before the dreadful bushfires engulfed part of Victoria… normally a green and lush State… our hearts go out to all our friends, family and contacts.  Aussies are a very resilient lot and we hope they put this all behind them very soon…”
