Arthur
and Kathryn’s Garden Party
Arthur and Kathryn welcomed us
once again to their lovely home with its very large garden. Kathryn, our hostess, is French and a wonderful
cook. She had prepared a delicious
meal for us. The sun was shining as
Arthur poured everyone a drink and we sat down in the shade to talk to other
members and their partners. Later we
wandered round the grounds searching for paper plates; on each was a cryptic
clue to a famous book or play. It’s
much more difficult than it sounds.
Well done to Elizabeth and Adrian who had the highest score. The meal was
excellent, as always, and was followed by desserts made by members of the
committee. Doug had
brought along some of his famous ferrets.
They’re very tame and love to be handled. Towards the
end of the afternoon it was the ferrets’ turn to entertain us as we played
Ferret
Roulette. Our thanks to
Arthur and Kathryn for a lovely afternoon. |
